News: Portal 2 Announced
Posted by Impossible on 2010-03-05 17:20:18 EST
If you've been playing portal recently, you surely know about the mysterious updates the game has been getting lately. All has been revealed with the announcement of Portal 2, Valve's to-be-released 2010 title.
I'm sure that many of you have lost faith in Valve prior to the announcement of L4D2, saying they took a corrupt and greedy path.
I always thought Valve's next game release after L4D2 would confirm what kind of direction they are taking with their games. For those of you who share my opinion, here's a ray of hope. Read more...

News: Left 4 Dead DLC Update
Posted by Impossible on 2010-03-03 17:10:37 EST
A sprig of news on the dlc tree. Original article here.
The first bit of DLC for L4D2 titled 'The Passing' is slated to be coming out some time in March. This is the DLC that is going to have the original Left 4 Dead's Zoey Bill Francis and Louis, appear as NPC's apparently to help the new survivors beat a chapter of the campaign. So to be clear, the original survivors don't seem to be playable characters in this DLC. Read more...

News: Boycott 2010 Announcement

Welcome to 2010 boycott.
It’s the New Year, and unfortunately none of the promised word about Left 4 Dead DLC from Valve. I remember reading in July from a Valve spokesperson to CVG that ‘eight or nine months from now, when L4D2 has released and people see the continued support for L4D, they may finally understand the method to the madness’. Nothing for Left 4 Dead, and they’ve announced that the first DLC for L4D2 will contain the original game’s survivors. In my opinion, that’s pretty much the death nail for Left 4 Dead DLC. They promised before it released, promised again when L4D2 was announced, and promised yet again before the sequel release to announce DLC for L4D. Taking the last cell of originality (the characters) and slapping them into DLC for the sequel instead is the least helpful thing they can do to support the original game, making it an entirely obsolete purchase.

News: Boycott Week 6 Announcement
Posted by Impossible on 2010-03-03 17:04:48 EST
Hey Guys, just a little mid-week announcement touching on a few things regarding the group.
First and foremost, I wanted to address the issue with people in the group playing L4D2. A lot of folks keep demanding that they be kicked, and while I’ve talked about it a few times thought it would be good to repeat here. This boycott community is a PUBLIC group. Myself and the other moderators can’t kick people out, nor control who joins. Why people who would buy L4D2 would join the boycott group is beyond me, but they’re free to do so. Thinking that the boycott is corrupted because a minority of its public membership aren’t supporters is silly business. I haven’t gotten it, and you probably haven’t, so there’s no problem.
